John Splithoff New Haven Concert reviews
Sickly Intimate and Personal
1. Adam Lazarra is hands down one of my favorite entertainers and musicians. His bone-shaking screams and full acoustic/harmonica rendition of 'Divine Intervention' at The Pageant (STL) were just some of the highlights.
2. From his mic tricks to working the stage, the experience of seeing him perform is always a high, vocally rebutting while blissfully feeding off second vocals. It's just great.
3. The raw intimacy of Pops and the laid back atmosphere made the concert so personal. Love the new stuff, but still can't seem to lose love for the oldies. I've seen John Splithoff numerous times before, but always at larger venues.
4. The show was still raw, even with Fazzi in a boot, others with broken hearts, and band members on crutches. To the band...sick, just sick! Keep it rockin' guys! You're all amazing! I'm excited for what you'll do next!
5. The other bands last night were also great. The variety of sounds between them all made for a great first time @ Pops. Really loved it. I'll be back, for sure!
